Join us for Lau Ke Aloha: Kinolau Native Species Art Creation with Maui Artists. This special gathering invites Maui residents to create art inspired by the native plant life of Maui and Honuaʻula. Led by local Maui artisans, each hands-on session is centered around a unique native plant. Whether youʻre weaving, stamping, painting, or making lei, this is a space to connect with ʻāina and our native species through creativity and community.

Our Lau Ke Aloha event is a precursor to the Ua Ikea dinner event to celebrate the vital work of the Maui Nui Botanical Gardens and Hui Noʻeau Visual Arts Center. This special event celebrates the inspiring work of these local organizations, alongside our Mākena ʻŌiwi Resources and Stewardship Department, in restoring native plants and strengthening our connection to the ʻāina. We invite you to learn more about Ua Ikea here and to show some support for these wonderful organizations by donating to their missions below.
