Noenoe Nights: Free Lei Workshop Offered For Nurses, Caregivers

Collaboration with Ala Kukui
We are partnering with non-profit organization Ala Kukui to bring the first Noenoe Nights at Mākena workshop series. Our first workshop will honor Maui’s wāhine (women) nurses and caregivers. Participants will create koko, floral hair accessories traditionally worn by female hula dancers.
“We are thrilled to recognize those who accompany in times of need – whether the koko framing the beautiful face of the dancer or the soothing words and touch of a nurse or caregiver,” said Leahi Hall, Community Relations Director at the Mākena Golf & Beach Club.
