The Kiwanis Club of Kahului’s 5th Annual Golf Tournament held on June 11, raised $27,210 for the Pediatrics Department at Maui Memorial Medical Center. The tournament was generously hosted by Makena Golf & Beach Club, so 100% of the proceeds will benefit the hospital.
Where Funds Will Go
Over the years, funds raised from past Kiwanis golf tournaments have helped provide:
Infant warmers for newborns
Phototherapy machines for babies with jaundice
Sleeper chairs so parents can stay overnight with their child
Pediatric dental supplies to treat children with special needs in a hospital setting
“We are thankful for the opportunity to support all of Maui’s keiki and their ‘ohana having access to great healthcare here on island,” said Leahi Hall, Community Engagement Manager for Discovery Land Co. and Mākena Golf & Beach Club. “We humbly join the work of many great organizations and individuals, like the Kiwanis Club of Kahului, whose collective efforts provide tangible impact throughout Maui. Ua ola loko i ke aloha – love gives life within.”

The Maui Memorial Medical Center Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to ensuring that MMMC has the resources needed to provide the highest level of care to Maui’s community.
