Nā Hale O Maui Charity Golf Tournament
On Sunday, July 16, Nā Hale O Maui will host its first-ever charity golf tournament at the exclusive Mākena Golf & Beach Club, offering players a great day on the course with an opportunity to support affordable housing efforts in Lahaina.
What the Event Supports
Proceeds will help fund the construction of new three- and four-bedroom homes in Kahoma, Lahaina, designed for low and moderate-income families, with priority given to those who live or work in Lahaina.
“Your participation will help us change the lives of 12 Maui families that work or live in West Maui,” said NHOM President Michael Trotto.
Nā Hale O Maui, founded in 2006, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to preserving affordable housing options in perpetuity for Maui County residents. The organization acquires and rehabilitates homes, then sells them to qualified local buyers. Over the past decade, it has helped 33 families secure homes, often with the support of a $10,000 down payment assistance grant based on need.

The event is made possible thanks to the support of volunteers, sponsors, and major prize donors—including Kā‘anapali Beach Hotel, the Grand Wailea, the Fairmont Kea Lani, and the Westin Nanea Ocean Villas.
“This golf tournament is a great example of working together to make a real difference, changing lives of island families, one home at a time. We invite the business community to join us in continuing efforts to build more affordable housing in perpetuity in Maui County,” said NHOM Executive Director Cassandra Abdul.
