Nā Hale O Maui today announced the completion of its Kahoma permanently affordable workforce housing project in Lahaina. The organization began efforts in 2012 to purchase 12 finished lots from West Maui Land, aiming to build truly affordable homes for island families who live and/or work in West Maui. The project was delayed for several years due to a legal battle with the Land Use Commission over development entitlements, but NHOM ultimately secured the lots and moved forward with planning and construction.
